Sand Yachts

Introduced in 1937 a range of Sand or Land yachts produced to be safer for smaller children. Available in three sizes, No 1 9", No 2 11" and No 3 16". Basic type of yacht with rigging similar to the M Series. Later given prefix of LY probably so as not to confuse with SY Series.

1948 Range reduced to one, number changed to LY/1 11". Range specification remains unchanged until 1961. 1961 Range discontinued. Probably a bit sticky on loose sand but on hard ground will go like the wind!
